Which is more effective in blocking heat and most importantly is cost effective?
We did an experiment to put this to test.
(8mm Clear Tempered Glass + 1.52 PVB Layer + 8mm Sunergy Clear Low E Tempered #4 glass).
The left side of the glass is applied with Pacco Zonling Window Film (Deluxe X50), while the other side is without film.
A heat lamp will shine through the glass and the meter will measure the amount of heat that passes through both sides of the glass.
Referring to the above pictures and results –
Without Film – the amount of heat passing through is 670w/m2.
With Film – the amount of heat passing through is 45.5w/m2
Based on the testing, the performance of with film is more than 10 times effective in blocking heat.
With this simple experiment, we are even more confident that a simple thin piece of Zonling Window Film is effective in blocking more heat.
